NTI welcomed a delegation from Korea International cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Dr. Magdy EL Soudani, The National Telecommunication Institute Deputy Director, and a number of the leaders of the NTI welcomed a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency at the National Telecommunication Institute headquarters in Nasr City on the 4th of August 2010. The delegation was composed of Mr. Lee Jae-Woong, Resident Representative of the Korean International Cooperation in Egypt, and Prof. Ayman Ahmed Abdul Aziz, Program Officer and Dr. Choi Byung-il, Dean of Women's University of International Studies.

The visit started by a presentation summarizing the cooperating history between the NTI and the KOICA, followed by a tour inside the NTI building to see the different kinds of NTI’s activities. During their tour inside the NTI building the delegation visited the NTI e-Learning center which is considered one of the most important cooperation achievements between the NTI and the KOICA.

The delegation’s visit to the NTI confirms the continuation of the fruitful cooperation between the National Telecommunication Institute and the Korea International Cooperation Agency since the year 2000 till the year 2007 in several activities including receiving experts in the telecommunications and information technology field in order to share their experience and to participate with NTI staff in training programs in KOREA, and also the construction of the various projects and the most important one was the e-learning center which was inaugurated by Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, in mid-July 2006.

Finally the Korean delegation praised the role of the NTI in the development of the telecommunications and the information technology sector in Egypt and the importance of the cooperation with the NTI during the upcoming period.
